    SUMMARY  

    A brief description summarizing the overall purpose and objectives of the position and the results the worker is expected to accomplish.

     

    As a member of the Internal Communications team, this position will help connect PDC Energy employees and leadership with each other and information. The Internal Communications department provides and maintains tools, guidelines and mechanisms for

    internal communications excellence, enabling innovation, collaboration, employee engagement, talent retention, leadership effectiveness, change management, brand consistency, messaging alignment, crisis management and business success. The Internal Communications Professional role will play a critical role in this mission, focusing specifically on news delivery, internal marketing, brand consistency, strategic communications planning and metrics reporting.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

    The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the position that are most important to get the job done.

    1. Create, draft, edit, format, curate, deliver and track internal communications items, including articles, posters, videos, infographics, presentations, e-newsletters, flyers, talking points and more, managing approvals as needed;
    2. Provide recommendations to internal customers related to edits, design, formatting, audience segmentation, channel use, key messaging and delivery for internal communications;
    3. Through key messaging, help tell the PDC story, reinforcing the values, beliefs and behaviors that define who we are at PDC and who we want to be;
    4. Ensure news is timely, relevant, accessible and engaging;
    5. Create strategic communications plans for internal customers, providing guidance for meaningful and ongoing audience engagement;
    6. Maintain relationships with key internal customers;
    7. Maintain editorial calendar;
    8. Create and maintain regular reports;
    9. Participate in cross-functional forums that encourage communications partnerships and awareness.

    1. Excellent writing and editing skills;
    2. Proven record of organized and consistent work product;
    3. Keen customer focus and strong customer service capabilities;
    4. Collaborative and transparent team player;
    5. A willingness to learn and creatively solve problems;
    6. The ability to form trusting, sustainable relationships with people across the business;
    7. Experience with video production and/or graphic design is preferred.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  

    The scope of the person’s authority, including a list of jobs that report to the incumbent.

     

    There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS   

    The environment in which the job is performed, especially any unique conditions outside a normal office environment.

     

     

    Consistent with that of a normal office environment.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

    The minimum level of education, experience, and certifications required to perform the job.

    1. Enrollment in college/university in a related program;
    2. Minimum two years of work experience;
    3. Juniors, seniors and graduate students preferred.
