SUMMARY

Maintain an understanding of the air quality requirements pertinent to the Production and Post-Production asset functions and collaborate with Production leadership to drive accountability for meeting requirements and establishing processes that enable compliance in Production and Post-Production operations.​

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the position that are most important to get the job done.

  1. Lead field-level air quality compliance efforts for PDC and Contract personnel​;
  2. Ensure all interactions with non-operations/asset customers are coordinated through Central Team and Manager;
  3. Lead implementation of new environmental rules/programs, as directed;
  4. Execute existing air quality compliance programs: Schedule compliance tasks (maintenance, AIMM, Method 22, etc.)​, Ensure proper recordkeeping procedures are in place​, Work with operations to ensure proper applicability, execution and recordkeeping​, Submit reports to regulatory agencies with Central Team input, as necessary; Collaborate with Production Team to conduct inspections and review records to assess compliance (eg., LDAR IR Camera Inspections);
  5. Coordinate with Central Air Team to keep current on and inform field staff on priority air focus areas​;
  6. Provide air quality expertise to field Production Team;
  7. Ensure updates of air quality regulations are communicated via appropriate channels to Production midstream personnel;
  8. Identify the need for, and coordinate the scheduling of, training for Production Team members;
  9. Deliver air quality-related training to the asset,​ as directed;
  10. Submit documents to comply with existing air quality regulatory requirements (excluding permit applications) as directed;
  11. Support Asset responses to regulatory agency information requests related to air quality programs (e.g. observation responses and full compliance evaluations)​, as directed by Manager;
  12. Provide air quality support for production and post-production environmental incidents​;
  13. In coordination with the teammates, identify relevant air quality content to bring to the monthly EHS meetings;
  14. Support EHS Production incident review committee meetings, as directed;
  15. Submit reports to regulatory agencies, as directed;
  16. Monitor stakeholder feedback related to execution of air quality programs, share with Manager & coordinate response as appropriate;
  17. Ensure all team members are supporting the population of data, and use of, PDC’s environmental data management system (ACTS);
  18. Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required at the direction of supervisor;
  19. Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects.

  1. Demonstrated experience working with air quality regulatory standards and compliance practices as they relate to upstream oil and gas strongly preferred;
  2. Knowledge of regulatory requirements in Texas;

  1. There are no initial supervisory aspects associated with this position.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

The environment in which the job is performed, especially any unique conditions outside a normal office environment.

  1. Consistent with that of a normal office environment;
  2. If residing in Colorado, the incumbent must be willing to travel to the Midland, TX assets bi-monthly.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum level of education, experience, and certifications required to perform the job.

  1. Accomplished incumbent typically possessing a minimum of 5 years job related experience, established position specific skills, and working knowledge of other inter-departmental functions;
  2. Ability to travel between Colorado and Texas (field office);
  3. Proven experience working with air quality regulations related to upstream Oil & Gas operations;
  4. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, or related science discipline or equivalent experience.
